Calendar Patterns

Daily calendar activities provide a variety of opportunities for reinforcing important number concepts. Here, one KidsSoup member shares how she incorporates patterning into her classroom's calendar routine.

Thanksgiving: On the Table Week 4

Week 4 of the On The Table theme celebrates Thanksgiving and the spirit of gratitude. Children express thanks for their many blessings through art, writing, reading, movement, and song. In addition, they will learn how to set a table in order to participate in preparations on the big day.

As a lead up to Thanksgiving, Week 3 of the On The Table theme presents a bounty of activities, games, and crafts that focus on the fall harvest and foods that are often served on feast day. This week's book, The Beastly Feast by Bruce Goldstone, is full of rhyming fun and bright colorful characters.
