V for Vampire Halloween Preschool Craft and Song

V for vampire. Create this easy vampire letter craft with your children to re-inforce the shape and sound of the letter V. Let children pretend to be vampires getting ready for Halloween night with our fun vampire song and movement activity.

V for Vampire Craft

What you need:
Blue or purple craft paper
Black craft paper
Red craft paper
White craft paper
Orange or yellow craft paper
Black marker
Scissors
Glue

What you do:
In advance, draw a large triangle shape on the black craft paper. Cut out two strips out of the red craft paper. Cut a circle out of the white craft paper. Cut one large, and four small triangles out of the black craft paper.

Preschool Activities: 

Together with the children look a the letter V together and describe its shape. Let children create a letter V with the two red strips. Talk about that the shape almost looks like a triangle standing on it's tip. Next, let children cut out the large triangle and glue it on the blue or purple craft paper.

Next, demonstrate to children how to glue the red strips letter V on top of the triangle.

Next, demonstrate how to glue the triangles on the white circle. Let dry.

Preschool Activities: 

Cut off the excess paper and glue the vampire's head on the paper as shown.

Preschool Activities: 

Add white hands to the cape, and triangle shoes to the bottom of the letter V.

Preschool Activities: 

Next, let children draw eyes, a nose, a mouth, and vampire teeth on the head with the black marker.

Preschool Activities: 

Encourage children to decorate their vampires with buttons or a necklace.

Preschool Activities: 

Last, write or let children copy and write the word vampire to the top of the paper.
