5 Little Dinosaurs Movement and Felt Story
Tune:" 5 Little Ducks"
Adapted by Jolanda Garcia, KidsSoup Inc.

One dinosaur went out to play
On a bright and sunny day
He had such ENORMOUS fun
That he called another dinosaur to come.
 DI-NO-SAUR! (Call very loud)

Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! (chant while patting hands on laps)

Then repeat for 2 dinosaurs, 3 dinosaurs, 4 dinosaurs

Five dinosaur went out to play
On a bright and sunny day
Then heard their mother roar (Make a loud roar)
and five dinosaurs stomped on the floor. (Stomp feet on the floor)

Five Dinosaurs Felt Story and Movement Activity and Rhyme
Preschool Activities:

Five Enormous Dinosaurs

Five enormous dinosaurs,
Letting out a roar,
One went away,
And then there were four.

Four enormous dinosaurs,
Munching on a tree,
One went away,
And then there were three.

Three enormous dinosaurs,
Didn't know what to do,
One went away,
And then there were two.

Two enormous dinosaurs,
Having lots of fun,
One went away,
And then there was one.

One enormous dinosaur,
Afraid to be a hero,
He went away,
And then there was zero.

Dinosaur Movement Rhymes and Songs

Dinosaur Moves

Spread your arms, way out wide,
Fly like a Pteranodon, soar and glide.
Bend to the floor, head down low,
Move like a Stegosaurus, long ago.
Reach up tall, try to be,
As tall as Apatasaurus eating on a tree.
Using your claws, grumble and growl,
Just like Tyrannosaurus on the prowl.

Did You Ever See a Dino?
(Tune: “Did You Ever See a Lassie?”)

Did you ever see a dino, a dino, a dino?
Did you ever see a dino munching his lunch?
He munches and crunches
and crunches and munches.
Did you ever see a dino, munching his lunch?

Repeat with:
Stomp his feet
Wiggle his tail,
and so on

I’m A Mean Old Dinosaur
(Tune: “I’m A Little Teapot”)

I’m a mean old dinosaur, (make a mean face)
Big and tall. (reach high and wide)
Here is my tail (point to an imaginary tail)
And here is my claw. (curl fingers on one hand)
When I get all hungry, (rub tummy)
I just growl. (growl the word growl with hands around mouth)
Look out kids - (hands over eyes looking)
I’m on the prowl! (lunge left and right)

Long, long ago

Long, long ago,
When the earth was new,
Dinosaurs walked,
and swam, and flew.
Allosaurus,
Triceratops,
Apatasaurus, too.
Iguanodon,
Tyrannosaurus,
To name a few.
Long, long ago,
When the earth was new,
Huge dinosaurs lived,
And small ones too.

Dinosaurs lived long ago
Adapted by Jolanda Garcia

Dinosaurs lived long ago
Some ran fast and some moved slow.
Some ate plants and some ate meat.
Some were mean and some were sweet.
Some were fat and some were tall.
Some were big and some were small.

The Dinosaurs

The dinosaurs lived long ago, when life on earth began.
Some were tall (Stretch high).
Some were small (Make yourself small).
Some liked water (Pretend to be swimming).
Some liked land (Pretend to walk).
Pteranadons had leathery wings (Pretend to fly).
Brontausaurs, long necks (Pretend to make a long neck).
But the meanest dinosaur of all (Makea mean face).
Was Tyranosaurus Rex (Stomp).
