Do you want to build a snowman? Make this simple Olaf craft with your children and create a winter wonderland play area. We got inspired for this Olaf craft by thismamaloves.com and sunhatsandwellieboots.com.
What you need:
Two small Styrofoam cups
Black and white craft paper
Orange pipe cleaner
2 wiggly eyes
2 white pom-poms
What you do:
Fold and twist pipe cleaner in to a carrot.
Push and stick the pipe cleaner nose and the small twigs inside the Styrofoam cup.
Cut Olaf's mouth and teeth shape out of black and white craft paper. Option: Use a black Sharpie to draw the mouth and teeth on the cup.
Glue mouth and eyes on the cup. With the black marker, draw Olaf's eyebrows and mouth details on the cup.
Push the sticks inside the Styrofoam cup.
Add glue to both rims of the cups and place on top of each other. Use the black Sharpie to draw the buttons on Olaf.
For Olaf's feet glue two white pom-poms to the bottom of the cup. Let dry.
What you need:
White felt or fabric
White pom-poms in different sizes
Winter toy animals
To make the snow covered pine tree, provide children with a paper plate, a paintbrush, and some white paint. Let children color pinecones white (great fine motor skill activity).
Sprinkle some iridescent glitter on top of the tree while the paint is still wet. Let dry.
Place the winter pine trees and Olaf on the white felt.
Provide children with different decoration materials to create a Winter Wonderland for Olaf and his friends.
