Fall offers plenty of natural materials to use with children--twigs, rocks, pinecones, you name it! Especially beautiful and useful are leaves. Leaves and their different shapes, patterns, and changing colors give children many opportunities to learn. These activities will inspire you to incorporate leaves in your next activities. Fall Leaves Hedgehog Craft 

Use leaves to create your very own hedgehog. Just add wiggly eyes, a carton cup, and a pipe cleaner. Children develop fine motor skills and flex their imagination muscles. 

Fall Leaves Soup (Water Sensory Play)

Dylan at includes leaves in a water area to make leaf soup! Children love sensory experiences and this one is sure to stir their interest.
