Elmer Elephant Puppet

What you need:
Toilet paper roll
Paint
Sponges
Scissors
Small paper plates
Learning Goals and Standards
Art expression
Fine motor skills
Preparation:
Print and trace elephant pattern on to cardstock paper. Cut paper roll in half.
Cut sponges in to small squares. Place each color paint on a small paper plate with a square sponge. (For smaller hands, you can add a handle by making a cut and use hot glue to attach a popsicle stick.)
What you do:
Cut out elephant and let children color one side of the elephant and the ears with the sponge stamps. Let dry. When dry, color the other side.
Paint the paper roll legs.
Make a cut as shown in picture.

Glue a wiggly eye on both sides.
Make two cuts opposite each other in the paper rolls.

Attach legs and ears to the elephant.
