Bow Movement Chant
What you need:
Gift bows in different colors (one per child)
Learning Goals and Standards:
- Strengthen gross motor skills through movement (lifting, turning, hopping)
- Develop body coordination and spatial awareness
- Practice listening skills, rhythm, and language patterns through rhyme and movement
- Encourage color recognition and following directions
What you do:
- Each child chooses a gift bow in their favorite color.
- Children stand in a circle and hold their bow in their hand.
- Recite (or sing) the rhyme together and have the children perform the matching movements.
Put Your Bow Up High

Put your bow up high, (raise hands)
Put your bow down low. (touch toes)
Spin around in a circle, (turn around)
And wave it to and fro! (wave hands)
Put your bow on your head, (tap head)
Put your bow on your knee. (tap knee)
Stretch your arms out wide, (stretch arms)
And dance with me! (wiggle or dance)
