More easy Summer Kids Crafts:
Coffee Filter Fish Art Project
Kids love to make this craft. Moisten the coffee filter with a generous amount of water. Paint coffee filter with watercolors before the coffee filter dries. Allow to dry. Trace and cut fish shape (see pattern). Use marker to draw scales. Cut eyes and fins out of craft paper and glue on fish. Paint a underwater scene with water color on white craft paper and glue fish onto it.

Paper Plate Frog Kids Craft
To make your paper plate frog craft, paint paper plate green on the inside and outside and let dry. Cut 4 circles (see pattern) and frog feet out of green construction paper. Fold circles in half and glue together and add feet. Fold paper plate in half and cut the sides of the plate. Glue frog legs on the bottom. Cut a stripe out of red construction paper for tongue and curl up. Add pompom to the top of the plate for eyes.

Rainbow Fish Art Project
Great summer craft project for your water theme. Add each color to in egg cartons and mix purple, green, and orange.
Have children paint a wavy rainbow across paper and let dry. When dry turn paper over and trace large fish. Cut out the fish and turn around. Cut and fold fins as indicated and glue on fish. Cut a black and white circle for the eye and decorate your fish with glitter pens or glue and glitter. Paint another white paper with watered down blue paint. Paint sea grass or use green craft paper to make an underwater scene.

Boat in a Cup Craft
Decorate clear cup using craft paint. Turn cup upside down and paint some water on the bottom and a sun on the top of the cup. Set aside to dry. Trace the cup onto blue card stock and cut out. Use a walnut shell to make a small sail boat. Use pipe cleaner and white construction paper to make a sail. Glue the sail into the walnut shell and glue in the middle of the blue construction circle. Clue clear cup onto circle and set aside to dry.

Ship Craft Project
Great craft to make during those hot summer days. Make toy boats with clean Styrofoam meat trays. Insert a straw or glue a paper roll into the tray for the mast. Use different craft items (paper bowls, craft sticks, pipe cleaners, etc. to make your ship. Cut triangular sails from colored construction paper and tape to the straw. Your child can sail her/his boat in a bathtub, a swimming pool, or a tub of water.

Jellyfish Craft
To make the jellyfish craft, children paint the paper plate with tempura paint and let it dry. Fold and cut construction paper in half. Accordion fold one end of the rectangle and cut stripes up halfway. . Fold paper plate in half and glue rectangle with pleated stripes inside. Make a hole for a string to hang and glue together.
