A child chooses any number of lily pads and places them on the table while counting them. Now another child adds a frog on each lily pad and counts them. Ask the question above.

Place 2 lily pads and 5 frogs on the table. Have a child place the frogs on the lily pad. Ask the following questions:
How many frogs are on the first lily pad?
How many frogs are on the other lily pad?
Which lily pad has more frogs?
Which lily pad has less frogs?
Activity 3: Addition
Place two lily pads on the table. Have a child count 3 frogs and place them on the first lily pad. Ask the following question:
How many frogs are on the first lily pad?
Have a child take 2 frogs and place them on the other lily pad. Ask the following question:
How many frogs are on the second lily pad?

Continue with different amount of frogs.

Song: Five Little Speckled Frogs
Place two lily pads on the table. Have a child count 5 frogs and place them on the first lily pad. Ask the following question:
How many frogs are on the lily pad?
Have child jump one frog to the other lily pad.
Now how many frogs are left on the first lily pad?
