What you do:
Cut two egg cartons, 2 cups each. Paint black and let dry. When dry, paint the face and belly of the penguin with white paint. Cut an egg carton cup, trim and paint orange for the feet. Glue egg carton pieces together. Cut a beak and wings out of craft paper. Draw eyes with a black marker. Glue wings and beak to the penguin and attach body to feet. Cut a small piece of pipe cleaner and attach with two pompoms to the penguin’s face to make earmuffs. |

What you do:
Trace and cut penguin pattern out of white and black craft paper. Tear a piece of white paper in half, length-wise for ice or use white cotton balls to make snow and glue it on blue craft paper. Glue white belly / head piece on black penguin body. Glue penguin on blue craft paper. Cut feet and beak out of orange craft paper and fold along dotted lines and glue it on the penguin. |

What you do:
Print and trace penguin patterns onto craft paper or direct children to copy the shapes you draw on the board. Cut body, and wings out of black craft paper. Tear a oval for the penguin's belly out of white craft paper. Cut feet and beak out of orange craft paper. Assemble penguin and add eyes. Great fine motor skill activity for preschool and kindergarten. |

What you do:
Cut a large and a small potato in half lengthwise. Paint the large potato half black and then stamp it on blue craft paper. Paint wings on black body and let dry. When dry, paint small potato half white and then stamp it on the black penguin body. Cut a beak and feet out of orange craft paper and glue on penguin. Add wiggly eyes. Make an ice landscape with torn craft paper, tissue paper, or cotton balls. |
